There are a couple of transfers available that allow just one day to travel between Picton and Queenstown - pickup between 8am and 4:30 pm and drop-off between 8am and 4:30 pm.
Am I reading this wrong? One day for a 10 plus hour drive and they don't even allow you enough time to actually drive at a safe speed?
Or does one day refer to a 24 hour period - pickup 8am drop-off 8am the next day?

If the vehicle is a car, or a vehicle not set up for sleeping in, then the turnaround should be 24 hours for one day and you will see this reflected when you select the dates on our date picker. However this is not for all companies. You will know if this is the case if you either hover on the little green information icon above the date picker or when you select the pickup date, as the green highlight will cover two dates (24 hours).
Some rental operators still use the calendar day selection. This means that one day is between daily branch hours. If it is a campervan or motorhome for example, one day will definitely = one calendar day. This means that when you select your pickup date, it will block out complete calendar days for the free days offered (not 24 hours per day). Be aware though, that in any event, the vehicle has to be back on the last date on the listing details.
